Cake '84
(Rapidograph & watercolour)
I stuck this illo in as it's actually the drawing that got me in to college.
The guy interviewing me thought it looked technical and I got offered a
place on the Technical Graphics course.
Me '86
(charcoal 250 x 150 mm)
Just before I started college I did most of my drawing in
charcoal, this is drawing of myself using an old mirror placed
on the floor against a wall.
Walkman '87
(Pencil 110 x 110 mm)
This was drawn after starting college, and you can see
by the style 'technical illustration was starting to sink in.
Row Boat '99
(Pencil 90 x 90 mm)
A boat amongst a row of them on Largs beach.
This meant as reference for a painting that never
saw the light of day.
