'Hand', after Durer '92
(pencil 110 x 80 mm)
I love Durers drawing of a hand, and in the same way as I
draw a plate of biscuits every year or so, I draw this hand, it's
a beautiful pose.
Glasgow Art Gallery& Museum '89
(Charcoal 370 x 260 mm)
I remember the day I drew these very well. I was at college
and
we'd gone to draw things inside, but I went out and sat in the
snow to do the first one, an old guy offered to bring me a cup of tea.

Apple '89
(Coloured Pencil 85 x 90 mm)
Another wee drawing done during my college years,
although this time done in my own time. This is the kind of
drawing I'm going back to, I enjoy the discipline.

Bust of Tolstoy '87
(Conte crayon 220 x 140 mm)
I used to go to the Glasgow
Art Galleries and draw all day
once or twice a week before going to college. I really
miss the opportunity nowadays.
