I occassionally get asked if I'll do a caricature of someone.
Below are a few that I have done in the past with a couple of comments
about each by myself as far as mistakes, problems etc. and what materials
were used for the end result.

Stewart 'Beatty' Beatt '08
(Ink line & Photoshop A4)

I've had the misfortune to know this drain on society
for about 27 years. This was a pressie for him at his 40th Birthday.
He spends his working life on, 'World of Warcraft'.

Bob Upson '08
(Ink Line & Photoshop,A5)

I met Bob on a Facebook application, really nice guy,
working for the Fire Dept. in the states.

Wullie Broon '98
(coloured pencil, A4)

The Headmaster at a Primary School in Coatbridge I did a days
cartooning classes at. He was retiring and the other teachers wanted
to get him something he'd enjoy. Really nice guy, and probably
the caricatures I'm most pleased with.

Judge R.H. Dickson '99
(Ink Line & Photoshop, A4)

A Judge at Aidrie Sheriffs Court that the regular court police
wanted caricatured. This was the first time I did line work and coloured
in Photoshop, as such I'm reasonably happy with it, but I prefer
to draw and tone with pencils this weather. Put the cursor over
the image to see the line drawing on it's own.

Steph & Lilly '08
(Ink Line & Photoshop, A4)

My pal was looking for a caricature of his girlfriend
& her daughter, so I said I'd give it a go. Problem I had
doing this one was that in almost all the photo reference
they were squinting into th sun, so it took a while
to get the eyes right.

Davie-Mac '00
(Ink Line & Photoshop, A4)

A friend at works boyfriend, I was happy with the finish
on the bike, and the sky and sand, but I made a pigs arse
of the finish on the face.

Ruairidh, '02
(coloured pencil, A3)

One of my sisters pals (pronounced 'Rory') who's big on rebuilding
old classic cars (and very good at it he is too). This was for his 30th
birthday, and was drawn from a couple of photo's of him and of the car.
I really enjoyed drawing this, the wheel spokes were a nightmare, mind.

Ruairidh's Mum & Dad
(pencil rough, A3)

This was a couple of years later, enjoyed it again because I got the
chance to draw another rebuilt car. Forgot to take a scan of the finished

drawing however.
